This isn’t the first time Rajinikanth is facing opposition from the fringe groups in Chennai. He was opposed to doing a film under Lyca Productions which is based in Sri Lanka. Tamilians in Sri Lanka have been fighting for their country for many years.
Now, Rajinikanth schedule is prepared to visit Sri Lanka to inaugurate the 150 houses built by Gnanam Foundation and these homes will be distributed for free to the Sri Lankan Tamilians in Jaffna. Rajnikanth is going to do this also plant saplings, speak at a public meeting organised during the trip.
The Sri Lankan Tamilians waged war for many years for their rights on the island and also fought for them through various rebellious outfits. So, the fringe groups based in Chennai are alleging that Lyca Productions is only acting as if they are favouring the Tamilians.
