Palasa 1978 -O Pitta KathaIf things weren’t clear already, it has become more apparent with the new releases this Friday. The numbers of the two new movies were abysmally low at most of the locations, they arrived.

Among the multiple releases, the prominent ones were Palasa 1978, and Oka Pitta Katha. Despite backing by big names and a decent amount of promotions, the movies failed to generate an impression.

However, it wasn’t entirely unexpected as the trade is already witnessing dull period at the cinemas across the two Telugu states. The coming day’s things are expected to reach an extreme. The examination season was enough to keep the audience count low, but the Corona Virus threat has further put a dent.

The box office is expected to continue the struggle in the coming days as well. It will be that way until the release of Nani, and Sudheer Babu’s V. The big Ugadi release will bring back the footfalls. The Dil Raju production under Mohan Krishna Indraganti is well-positioned in that way.

Until the arrival of V, there will be hardly anything to write home about. One can only expect for an unexpected movie to score, and surprise everyone, in the best-case scenario.
