Selvaraghavan’s Varna is one of the most anticipated films of the year. After being on floors for nearly four years and going to the extent of getting shelved, the film is finally releasing worldwide Nov 22. Now, the question ringing in the minds of people is whether this film is really worth the wait.
The trailer doesn’t really look captivating even though it looks colourful. The problem with Selvaraghavan is that he tries too hard to tell a story but most of the time it’s not received well. Let’s hope he’s doesn’t repeat the mistake with Varna, which features Arya and Anushka (corrected the typo after user feedback) in the lead roles.
Let’s admit that by making an Indian film as visually spectacular as Avatar will not impress our audiences. Our audiences driven by the fact to be entertained and not piqued with content.
