The By-polls to 18 Assembly constituencies and 1 Lok Sabha constituency in Andhra Pradesh had registered huge voter turn out. Almost 80% polling was registered with Rayadurgam being highest with 88. Women and down trodden sections had turned out in huge numbers for the voting. The results will be out on 15th and till then bettings are going on at full swing predicting the election out come. Despite their best efforts, political parties are worried about the results due to the huge voter turn out.

The exit polls revealed by various TV channels had made the confusion bigger. Few channels had predicted a clear mandate for YSRC and few other channels had predicted the opposition and ruling parties to do equally good. This elections outcome will change the face of AP politics. Clean sweep by YSRC might put the Government in trouble as the ruling Congress has just 151 MLAs at present, as against the magic figure of 148 MLAs in the 294-member assembly.

If the ruling Congress and opposition TDP puts up a decent performance then life will become difficult for YSRC president Jagan who is currently in jail in disproportionate assets case.
