Balakrishna-NandamuriNandamuri Balakrishna’s films generally tend to have more than just film-related punch. They’re believed to have political influence as well.

Back in 2014, Balakrishna’s Legend released right before the election and it was a box office blockbuster. The film has many political dialogues and scenes. Incidentally, TDP then formed the government in the same year with a thumping majority.

Coming to 2019, Balayya released NTR Kathanayakudu right before the election and it was a disaster at the box office. And incidentally, TDP had gone on to lose that year’s election by a huge margin.

So now, the TDP troops are anticipating on Balakrishna’s new theatrical release before 2024 elections. Usually, given the history of the relation between Balayya’s pre-election films and TDP’s election mandate, the safer choice for him would’ve been to do a film with Boyapati Sreenu.

However, Balakrishna has now lined up a film with Bobby under Sithara Entertainments production. The project is to be officially announced on June 10 and it will commence the shoot in September.

If the AP elections are held according to the customary timeline, then Balayya’s film with Bobby will be readied for release right before next election season.

Well, Bobby too is fresh off the success of Waltair Veerayya which had Sankranthi advantage and there could be some positive momentum going into the project, which, as mentioned above, has political prominence.
