Epic-RRR-To-Set-National-Milestone-For-Pre-Release-BusinessBaahubali 2, when it arrived set the new milestone for box office collections in India. It is officially, India’s first 1000 Cr Grosser. What Bahubali 2 did to the theatrical business, RRR is doing the same for pre-release wise.

As soon as the release date for Sankranthi 2020 was out, there has been a bidding war of sorts among the distributors. The numbers that are being heard are beyond phenomenal and sensational. They are blowing everyone’s mind.

To give an example, the Nizam territory rights have been snapped up by Dil Raju for a whopping 75 Cr. It is more than what Baahubali 2 has collected in this area. It is the same case with other regions as well. Karnataka is taken for mind-blowing 50 Cr. As of now, Nellore, Krishna, West and Guntur is also sold for record prices.

The overall Telugu states business alone is expected to cross 210 Cr. That’s almost 100 Cr more than what Baahubali 2 did in its pre-release. In the same way, including the non-Telugu versions, the pre-release theatrical business is alone going to cross 500 Cr.

RRR will, therefore, be the first Indian movie to do a theatrical business of 500 Cr. In comparison, Baahubali 2 did approximately 350 Cr pre-release business. The stars of RRR, SS Rajamouli, Tarak and Ram Charan have to deliver a theatrical performance matching that of Baahubali 2 to earn profits.

DVV Danayya produces RRR. The SS Rajamouli directed periodical epic will hit screens worldwide on January 8th, 2021 in Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam along with its original Telugu version.
