‘Mahabharata’ isn’t a story but an epic which can’t be told in a couple of hours. So, the makers of an epic movie based on ‘Mahabharata’ can’t limit the run-time of their movie. According to the news making rounds, Mohanlal‘s ‘Mahabharata’ would have 5 hours run-time.
That means it would be made into two parts, for convenience. This movie is based on the novel ‘Randamoozham’ written by M.T. Vasudevan Nair in Malayalam telling the story in the perspective of Bheema, the third brother among the Pandavas.
The budget of the movie was estimated to be around Rs. 1000 crores and billionaire BR Shetty is going to fund the project to be helmed by ad-filmmaker Shrikumar Menon. It’s obvious that the star cast of this magnum opus is going to be huge and there might be many surprises.
