Telugu actress Tashu Kaushik is currently working on a called Reporter, which is about the state of journalism in the country. Even though the film is high on social values, Tashu personally likes and enjoys films that are not preachy. She says audiences won’t like a film that lectures them on a topic for hours.
She also believes films that deliver a social message always end up stirring some controversy. Even a film like Rang De Basanti attracted some criticism for its debatable climax adds Tashu, who is playing a character with two shades in Reporter. However, Tashu doesn’t mind watching a film addressing a social value once in a while.
She says the film hasn’t been tried to be made preachy as people expect it to be. Journalism is presented in a different point of view, and that’s what makes it special.
