Speaking in an interview director V I Anand said that he initially wanted to name the film as Amala. But as everyone in the team said that the title will be like any other female oriented title which was being used for many films during that time.
Killing this in mind the director decided to skip the title and started to look for another option. When one of the line producers suggested that why don’t they try the title Ekkadiki Pothavu Chinnavada as it a correct apt for hero’s situation in mind, everyone in the unit was okay with the title and went ahead with it.
Whatever might be the situation in the film the title in use is a decent one for sure. After all it’s the content that matters so let’s see how the film opens today.
