The performance of RRR in Telugu was a no brainer from the start. It would be earth-shattering. What always made fans curious was its performance in other languages. Well, the time has come. RRR’s advances in Hindi has opened. But, the news is not good.
It’s very early days, so one shouldn’t lose heart or think negative. RRR has opened to a very poor response in the limited screens. The count will increase in the coming days, and we will know the real picture then.
What is clear is that there is no rush to get RRR tickets? The presence of a blockbuster movie (The Kashmir Files), a star hero movie (Bachchan Pandey) in cinemas currently is a concern. But, a bigger concern seems to be the ticket prices for RRR. They are high even in Hindi even though it’s select properties.
As it is, RRR has no face value in Hindi. It was banking on the Rajamouli factor. His name as the Baahubali maker is the main draw along with the larger than life making. However, the unexpected blockbuster success of The Kashmir Files has stolen its march.
The response is the same as any normal big film. Things will improve as the release date gets near. But, now everything will depend on the actual talk of the movie.
