Early Reviews: Avatar 2 is Beautiful But...It’s Christmas time and the Hollywood studios had to have a film lined up for the holiday season. And this year, the audiences will once again get to watch a larger-than-life presentation of the sequel to Avatar. The technical excellence interwoven with intricate emotional drama is already being lauded by Hollywood biggies and film critics who have watched the premiere of the much-awaited film.

In fact, following the film’s London premiere, just about everyone felt it is the return of director James Cameron who took a hiatus of 13 years.

The first reviews are in for Avatar The Way Of Water – currently, it’s Fresh at 83% on the Tomatometer, with 81 reviews.

“Visual masterpiece with rich use of 3D and breathtaking vistas,” said one who got to go to the premiere. Incredible visuals and emotional connection to the characters and story make it an undeniable masterpiece, say all those who sat through Avatar, The Way of Water.

But many are also complaining that the film is too long and gets boring after a point of time. One reviewer writes, “The pacing of the film is too slow for its own good. Cameron gives us long sequences of characters basking in the beauty of it all, and sure, it is indeed beautiful. But it’s also not real, and there’s only so much artificial beauty we can handle before we start to get weary and, well, bored.”

But in the final hour, Cameron is flexing every muscle, reminding blockbuster filmmakers how it’s done!

Well, that is the final verdict from the premiere. So stay tuned for the big Yule time release at cinemas close to you!
