Shekhar Kammula’s films had a definitive charm around them with moments gaining bigger share than the actual story. But, he lost this magic gradually and after a long gap, he is coming up with Varun Tej and Sai Pallavi starrer ‘Fidaa’.
Though he had a good fan fare among the ‘A’ centres’ audiences and the US audiences, he is a faded director now. He is convinced that ‘Fidaa‘ is going to become a super hit movie. He watched the film 3-4 times and he is confident that youngsters, especially girls will watch the movie at least for 2-3 times.
What’s the reason behind his confidence? He opines, his film is refreshing with a fresh view and fresh locations. All in all, he felt magical when he watched the movie. As a director, his film is like his child. So, it’s natural that he has that conviction on the film. This Friday will decide if Shekhar Kammula still has that Midas touch in him as a filmmaker.
