Malayalam superstar Dulquer Salman has gotten closer to the Telugu audience with the recent box office blockbuster Sita Ramam. His latest theatrical outing is Chup.
The film centers on Suresh, a lonely movie director who stumbles into Shanti one evening and casts her as the lead in a film. In a twist of fate, Shanti becomes a superstar and Suresh falls from the upper echelons of the film industry, the plot reads.
Coming to the point, Chup has sealed its official OTT streaming partner. The film’s post-theatrical OTT streaming rights are with ZEE5, as confirmed in the newly release poster.
Chup is the kind of film that is well suited for the OTT audience and it could well cater to a section of the Telugu OTT crowd as well. The film is directed by R Balki.
The word of mouth from the early special premieres were good but the talk dipped a fair bit after the theatrical release on the 23rd of this month. It remains to be seen how the film fares on OTT.
