Drugs Case: ED Seeks Tollywood Stars' Mobile PhonesA few years back in 2017, Tollywood was rattled when the drug case against popular celebrities like Charmee Kaur, Rakul Preet Singh, Nandu, Daggubati Rana, Ravi Teja, Navdeep, Mumaith Khan, and others came into the limelight. The investigation happened with their involvement with drug peddlers. Later, the case was left abruptly, and there had been no further action on it to date.

Meanwhile, today at excise enforcement court, Enforcement Directorate has dropped a petition stating that the mobile phones of the people who are involved in the 2017 drugs case should be submitted. Back then excise department seized 12 mobile phones, but they were not submitted to ED. Regarding the same, ED asked for a detailed explanation and is seeking an answer as early as possible.

Looks like the central government took Hyderabad’s 2017 drug case seriously, and the list of actual culprits in the case is expected to be out soon as a shock to the public.

The drug case in the country caught momentum after Sushant Singh Rajput committed suicide in 2020. Many Bollywood celebs were targeted in that case. Last year in October, King Khan SRK’s son Aryan Khan was caught in the cruise drug case in Mumbai. But last month, he was given a clean chit by the NCB as they didn’t find any evidence against him.
