Actor Kalabhavan Mani’s sudden death gave his fans quite the shock. Even at the last rites, the fans were in denial and were shouting, “Mani, you will never die” and other slogans like “Inquilab zindabad!” The actor, who was nicknamed as ‘poor man’s superstar’, died on Sunday night at the age of 45 and we hear there are some suspicions around his death.
There have been allegations that the popular actor was murdered and a special investigative team has been assigned to look into that. The team, led by DSP KS Sudarshan, started their investigation and have called in five people for questioning, one of them being an actor.
Apparently, traces of a poisonous substance, most probably methyl alcohol, was found in his body and an autopsy report to confirm this is awaited. After his death, Mani is survived by his wife and daughter.
