Actress Meenkashi Dixit, who has worked in Telugu films such as Dookudu, Bodyguard and Baadshah, is making a big leap in Tamil. She will seen in period flick Tenaliraman opposite legendary comedian Vadivelu. Why would a good looking young actress sign a film with a comedian? Meenakshi said she gives preference to the film’s script and not who she’s paired with.
She admits she was asked not to work in this film by many in the industry but she didn’t want to let go of the opportunity to star opposite a great comedian. She said she thoroughly enjoyed working in the film and added that working with Vadivelu was an experience of lifetime. She said she learnt a lot from him and that he’s the most humble and grounded person she has met.
Meanwhile, the actress is also awaiting the release of her Telugu film ‘Adavi Kachini Vennela’, in which she’s playing the lead. She says it’s an important film for her as she has to prove her mettle as a lead heroine to survive in the industry.
