Lakshmi ParvatiLakshmi Parvathi came out to protest against the wine shops in Film Nagar. Along with her neighbours, Lakshmi Parvati questioned the government how they gave permission to set up wine shops in their area which is considered a posh area.

“When people in mass areas objected to the wine shops, why will the people in this class area accept wine shops? was Lakshmi Parvati’s question. She expressed surprise on why they need to set up a shop to sell foreign liquor instead of supplying directly to their houses.

‘We don’t know the difference even between whisky and wine,” said Lakshmi Parvathi adding that they will suffer a lot because of such businesses in their area. According to the neighbours’ version, the license for the wine shop was actually sanctioned for a slum near Shiekpet.

But, the women folk protested against setting up liquor shops in their area. Hence, it was shifted to Film Nagar, Road No. 1. alleged Lakshmi Parvathi and the neighbours.
