MM Keeravani’s son Simha Koduri made a winning debut as an actor with Mathu Vadalara. He will next be seen in Dongalunnaru Jaagratha which is promoted as the first survival thriller in Telugu.
The trailer starts off with Simha rigging himself into a Mercedes Benz SUV. He intends to silently steal this car. But this is when things go South. He gets locked up in the car and doesn’t know the way to get out of it. To make matters worse, he finds a bomb in the car.
We get a clear view of the theme and the premise in the trailer. The concept of the entire film being set on the male lead getting locked in a car does look interesting. But the screenplay needs to be pacy and crisp in order to hold the attention of the audience.
There won’t be too many characters in the film, given the survival thriller theme and Simha will have to shoulder all of it. This should challenge him.
The background score and the visuals in the trailer look good. Films like these need to have technical finesse and as it appears Dongalunnaru Jagratha is ticking this box.
The film is directed by Satish Tripura and produced by Suresh Babu and Suresh Tati. It is set for release on the 23rd of September.
