Bollywood Cinema Tollywood CinemaEveryone expected Bollywood to make the best use of the momentum given by Pathaan, but it is back to square one. The disastrous fate of Selfiee and Shehzada goes on to prove that it’s Shah Rukh Khan who made a comeback with Pathaan and not Bollywood.

Bollywood is still continuing to make remakes of South films and getting thrashed by the public left, right, and center.

South cinema has novel storylines to tell, something that is rooted and relatable. Even technology-wise, South has gone miles ahead of Bollywood despite limited budgets. Bollywood offers shabby VFX, outdated camera work, and no jaw-dropping stunts when compared to the South.

Even if we look at actors, South has many amazing dancers like NTR, Allu Arjun, and Ram Charan, whereas most Bollywood actors lack dancing skills. South has many versatile actors like Dhanush, Fahad Faasil, Vijay Sethupathi, Nani and many others. But in Bollywood, except for a few, many stars aren’t versatile.

South has innovative directors like SS Rajamouli, Shankar, Lokesh Kanagaraj, Rishab Shetty, and Prashanth Neel, whereas, in Bollywood, even the directors who have given blockbusters are nowhere comparable to South directors in terms of visualization and execution. Bollywood makers can be best described as mid.

South has also got better comedians, and in the North, the less said, the better.

South cinema has been winning accolades not only on the national but also international level. In contrast, Bollywood is still fighting for Gutka-sponsored awards.

A few occasional star-driven blockbusters like Pathaan will not help Bollywood in any way. Content matters, and that’s where South scores BIG.

Bollywood may have been a better and bigger industry some two decades back, but now the South is ruling the roost by overtaking Bollywood by leaps and bounds.
