This Diwali festival season is going to be an eventful one at the Tollywood box office with multiple new releases lined up next week. The list includes Ginna, Ori Devuda, Sardar, and Prince.
Manchu Vishnu is coming up with Ginna, which is being promoted as a commercial entertainer. He took a fair bit of time to make this film and hopes to make a comeback with the same. The film is releasing on the 21st of this month. Vishnu is not in the best of forms and he will have to be on the top of his game if he is to pull the audience to theaters this Diwali.
Then there is Ori Devuda. This film is a remake of hit Tamil film, Oh My Kadavule and it has a layer of positivity around it. The original is streaming successfully on OTT, so we need to wait and see how the remake, featuring Vishwak Sen will fare at the box office now.
Then come the two dubbed films – Sardar and Prince. While Sardar has Karthi in the lead role, Prince features Siva Karthikeyan. The makers of both these films have been more focused on the Tamil promotions and they are orchestrating last minute promotions in Telugu.
Jathi Ratnalu director Anudeep faced a setback with FDFS and he is hoping to get back to winning ways with Prince which has Tamil star Sivakarthikeyan in the lead role. As for Sardar, Karthi has a decent market here and the trailer of the film looked promising.
Two straight Telugu films and two dubbed films are clashing at the Tollywood box office this Diwali season. Which of these will hit the homer? We will know the answer on 21st of October when they all release in theaters.
