Disco-Raja-Has-Right-Notes-But-Missing-The--BuzzA new single from Mass Maharaja starrer Disco Raja is out. The man of the moment S Thaman has come up with another retro-sounding catchy single “Rum Pam Pam”.

Bappy Lahari, the veteran music director of the eighties and the nineties associated with disco music and the song has been roped in as a singer. Mass Maharaja Ravi Teja also lends his voice for a segment. The combination looks bumper, but it hasn’t been utilized that effectively.

The beats are catchy, and the retro feel is on the spot, but the voice of Bappi Lahari feels unrecognizable due to the overuse of auto-tune. The senior music director has a natural flavor to it which is entirely missing. Still, the tune does the trick.

However, the more significant issue with Disco Raja is its promotions. It can be said with confidence that so far it has been below par. The movie will be hitting the screens in less than ten days. The reach and visibility among the audience have been very low. The first teaser had a fantastic response, but the unit couldn’t build on it.

All hopes are now on the pre-release function and a theatrical trailer if its there. Given how massively promoted were some of the recent movies, one can’t help but feel if team Disco Raja will be missing on the initial.

Vi Anand directs Disco Raja. The commercial entertainer with a twist hits screens for Republic Day weekend. It also happens to be the birthday of Mass Maharaja Ravi Teja. Let’s see what’s in store for the star.
