The makers of this Sankranthi releases printed that their respective films aren’t going to be streamed on Netflix or Amazon Prime as there is a misconception that this warning to the US folks pulled them into theaters.
If the distributors think, ‘Sarileru Neekevvaru’ collected $1.9 Million and ‘Ala Vaikumthapurramloo’ collected 2 Million so far only because they have advertised that these films are not available on Prime, then it’s a true misconception as it was the content and the big star screen experience that pulled crowds to the theatres.
The audiences, especially movie lovers in the US were excited to catch the big stars on the big screen when the talk is good. Next week’s release ‘Disco Raja‘ is also coming up with the same tag line that their movie wouldn’t be available on digital platforms.
Going by the content we have seen so far, ‘Disco Raja’ has big screen vibes and we can hope a decent number of footfalls to the theatres if the talk from early Premiers come out positive. It’s the medium-budget and small movies that are mostly affected by the above-mentioned platforms.
It is mostly movies opened to average talk getting impacted by Prime and other digital platforms as audience don’t feel the necessity to rush to theaters to catch them.
