After an extremely poor opening day, the second day of Kaala has come out as disastrous. The numbers are low across the board and without any exception.
The Superstar Rajinikanth starrer is showing signs of rejection from the Telugu audience. The trend suggests a weaker reception than Lingaa. The overall two days figures could be around four crores, and that would still be less than half the opening day of Kabali.
If there is no solid pick up in the weekend, the closing of the movie may be less than the weekend number of Kabali. The good thing here is that Kaala was not sold in the Telugu states and was an own release. However, if one goes by market value estimates it is a massive disaster in the making.
The same trend is visible in Tamil Nadu as well, but the situation there is not as bad as in Telugu. Kaala is looking to be stable at the lower ends and also in multiplex dominated Chennai city.
