Bollywood’s Greek God, Hrithik Roshan, is all set to reprise his role as the superhero in the fourth installment of the ‘Krrish’ franchise. The film will be directed by Karan Malhotra and produced by Rakesh Roshan and Pathaan fame Sidharth Anand.
The movie was initially announced in 2016 and was originally set to release in 2018 but was postponed as Rakesh Roshan couldn’t crack the script. The previous movies in the franchise were directed by Rakesh Roshan and starred Hrithik Roshan, Preity Zinta, and Priyanka Chopra.
Karan Malhotra has directed three films till now, out of which Agneepath was a super hit. His second film, Brothers, starring Akshay Kumar, was a flop. His last movie Shamshera, starring Ranbir Kapoor and Vaani Kapoor, was a huge disaster that didn’t even recover the release costs. The film also received terrible reviews making it one of the most trolled movies of last year.
It is surprising that he is chosen to direct the next installment of such a popular superhero franchise film. It is reported that since his first film, Agneepath, with Hrithik, was a super success, he might have been chosen.
Krrish 4 might go on floors in the second half of 2024 and release in 2026.
