When it is the music maestro, AR Rehman’s show, there would be a lot of expectations. Contrary to those expectations, some fans were disappointed and walked out of his show and even shared their disappointment on the social media.
Last week, a music concert was held in London, Wembley and the track list which had 16 Hindi songs and 12 Tamil songs for the concert was released beforehand. But, the Hindi music fans were disappointed who wanted Rehman to sing only the Hindi or Punjabi songs.
This really looks unfair as the organisers never publicised the show as an exclusive concert of Hindi songs. Moreover, Indian music doesn’t mean only Hindi songs, the regional languages have their own flavour and demand the due respect. This Hindi imposition has irked many from South India who reminded the above, biased people that Rahman started his career and tasted success with Tamil and Telugu films first.
