Until now the release period of Majili, given the current political mood, is seen as a disadvantage. But, is that going to turn opposite now? Will the release date become positive?
Looking at the current scenario, we have to say; it is an advantage for Majili. There are no noticeable released for the last two months. The big ones were political, and they failed. They are no genuine commercial entertainers to get the audience to cinemas. The occupancy at theatres is abysmally low. But, the moment a half exciting project Lakshmi’s NTR came up people turned up in numbers.
It means people are willing to come to cinemas provided the right content. Majili coming after two dry months and that too for Ugadi festival couldn’t have asked for better timing. The Naga Chaitanya and Samantha starrer can benefit majorly if it gets the right talk.
Still, having said all that, we have to wait until the advances open in the coming days to gauge the correct pulse. It will be the final week before elections, and the frenzy would be at its peak. Watch this space to know more about the box office update of Majili.
