Regina Cassandra and Nivetha Thomas starring Saakini Daakini is releasing on September 16th. It is the official remake of South Korean Action Comedy, Midnight Runners.
Sudheer Varma has directed the film for Suresh Productions, Guru Films and Kross Pictures. Sudheer Varma tailored the script to suit the sensibilities of Telugu audience.
But then, the director is skipping the promotions now. Sudheer is upset with the makers. The producers apparently tweaked the script a bit and even changed some sequences of the film with another director, Anand Ranga.
They have shot as many as 10 days with the new director. This has upset Sudheer Varma and he has decided to stay away from the promotions. He is not even tweeting about the film.
He did not even attend the Q&A Pressmeet that is underway in Ramanaidu Studios at the time of writing this article.
Update:
The makers say it was Sudheer Varma who completed the film and he himself referred Anand Ranga’s name for Patch work since he is busy with other projects.
“He is a big director. It’s not fair to call him for promotions when he is busy with other big projects,” they said.
But the sources close to the director refutes the statements.
