Content-oriented films are ruling the roost on digital platforms with both critical acclaim and audiences’ reception. Ike all the movie buffs, director Shankar has also been browsing the latest releases on OTT.
He picked up three films that he watched recently. The first one he enjoyed was ‘Soorarai Pottru‘ for the soulful music by GV Prakash. The next in his list was ‘Andhagaaram‘ for excellent cinematography by Edwin Sakay.
The third one was critically acclaimed Malayalam movie ‘Jallikattu’ for its remarkable background score by Prashanth Pillai. The movie received huge applause for the way the director handled raw emotions.
Being a technician himself, Shankar could pin-pointedly talk about the areas that were good about those movies. All the above movies received critical reception and we know ‘Jallikattu’ went ahead regarding the Oscar race.
