Director Mahi V Raghav of Yatra fame is back in the news. First, it was about a proposed multistarrer movie with Nani and Vishal (that reportedly got rejected) and now about a whole new venture.
Mahi V Raghav is reportedly planning to retread the biopic territory. After coming up with a reasonably engaging narrative using YS Rajasekhar’s famous walk and satisfying the followers, he is planning to the same with JS Jagan Mohan Reddy, the Chief Mister of Andhra Pradesh.
The life of Jagan is on par with the classic Godfather movies, claims Mahi V Raghav. There are high and lows, ordeals, pain and admiration in Jagan’s journey to becoming the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh – what else is needed to make a movie asks the director?
With the readily available material, Mahi V Raghav says he is game for the biopic. All he needs is a nod from Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy and the project will be on sets in either 2022 or 2023.
With the current crisis forcing lockdown, it will be some time before the movies are back on sets again. Mahi V Raghav has enough time to sharpen the script of both his projects. If agreed, he can make them back to back. Let’s see how it pans out for the director.
