Krish pushed Varun Tej that extra length!Whenever a hero gets chance to play a character in a period drama, it’s not just the costumes but also the appearance, mannerisms, attitude and style had to go mammoth change to get into the skin of the character. For Varun Tej who is playing a soldier who fought the Second World War, it wasn’t that easy.

Varun had to shave off his trade mark beard, undergo a boot camp to understand the nuances of a soldier in pre independence era and also interact with real ex-army person to understand the mannerisms of a soldier in the bygone age. Moreover they had to shoot and live in almost real like locations in camps in Georgia.

The most exciting part for him was to use a real gun which was made during the times of second world war and playing a soldier was like dream come true for the actor.

Well, a period film of this kind is very rare in Tollywood and hope such a decision in the initial days of his career will earn him a versatile image instead of getting himself into a mould.
