Too much tuning with Mahesh spoiled 3rd says GunaNo critic or cine-observer can catch the audiences pulse and decide why a film turned down by critics became blockbuster success. There are many films which surprised the trade pundits with their superb performance at the box-office despite poor reviews. When director Gunasekhar was quizzed about the failure of one of his films ‘Nippu’, he too held the same opinion as above.

He took the examples of K.Vishwanath’s ‘Shakarabharanam’ and Kranthi Kumar’s ‘Seetharamayya Gaari Manumaraalu’ which had been written down by critics as completely hopeless but turned out to be super hit films and attained the status of the classics of Tollywood. First week, the two films’ performance was dull but they picked up from 2nd week.

They had to sail through disastrous talk and with criticism that they are like documentaries. Coming to his ‘Nippu’, he didn’t know that it would be a disaster while making the film. In fact no director knows whether his story is going to be a hit or not. Only when the film releases, the realization comes about its short coming says Guna.
