Producer-Dil-Raju-Chiranjeevi-BalakrishnaDil Raju is already under the pump from the Telugu folk on social media for blocking substantially high number of theaters for Vijay’s dubbed film, Varasudu over straight Telugu films, Waltair Veerayya and Veera Simha Reddy.

Now, the senior producer appears to be on track to delivering another big shocker to Veerayya, and Veera Simha Reddy.

The latest social media post by Varasudu’s overseas distributor says the film is releasing on the 12th of January. If that really is the case, then the Vijay starrer will be the first of the three Sanknrathi releases.

While it might be advantageous for Varasudu, it will be problematic for Veera Simha Reddy and Veerayya.

Usually, the film that releases first in Sankranthi season will get theaters allocation advantage. Given Raju’s influence, he can lock a super wide release for Varasudu in Telugu states.

This would mean that Veera Simha Reddy and Veerayya might not get a wide release even on the first day if Varasudu holds on to the theaters in Telugu states. Particularly, the film that releases last will be left with peanuts as the other two will get lions share of theaters.

This comes as a last minute shocker for those involved with the Chiranjeevi and Balakrishna films. Netizens are commenting that Telugu biggies are having to run for release dates while a dubbed film gets top priority here.

The usual tradition is that the smaller film gets the last release date during the Sankranthi season. But Dil Raju appears to be setting this aside and locking prime date for his dubbed film.
