A day after Andhra Pradesh Cabinet has decided to bring an online portal to sell movie tickets under one roof, a team of film producers has met Minister Perni Nani in Amaravati. Dil Raju, Bunny Vas, Vamsi, and Distributor Alankar Prasad are among those who met the minister.
They are trying to find out the finer details of the cabinet meeting. Interestingly, hero Nagarjuna has met Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy the other day after the cabinet meeting. The CMO did not send any notes to the media about the meeting. Nagarjuna and Minister Perni Nani have maintained that it is more of a personal meeting.
Meanwhile, rumors are rife that Tollywood biggies are contemplating moving to court in case the Government is not keen on increasing the ticket rates any sooner. Buzz is that the rates can not be increased until Summer which is only when the online portal will be ready. Sources say that Dil Raju and others are making final attempts to clear the air with the Government.
“The industry is keen on not messing with the Government as indicated already but with big films coming up very soon. We may be forced to make a decision,” a source in the Producers Council told us.
