Dil-Raju-Karthikeya-2Karthikeya 2 is successfully running in theaters now. The film is also picking up the momentum in the Hindi belt as it takes up Rs 1.2 crores on the Independence Day in the Hindi circuit.

Karthikeya 2’s success meet event was held in Hyderabad today and it was attended by Dil Raju. At this event, Raju spoke at length about the way in which rumors about him trying to oppress Karthikeya 2 spread like wildfire.

“I love cinema. As long as I’m alive, I’ll strive for the welfare of cinema and I’ll never do something that will affect or damage any film,” Dil Raju said.

“We first announced Thank You for release on 8 July. We then altered it to 22 July as there was some pending work. I then approached Karthikeya 2 team who had 22 August release plan. They were gracious enough to understand my issue and agreed to postpone their release. The matter ended there. But media cooked up stories that I oppressed them,” Dil Raju said.

Raju turned emotional while speaking about rumors that he troubled Karthikeya 2. “One thing that those who write these rumors, and the ones who read them should understand that I’d never in my life kill a film. I love cinema. Cinema is my life. As long as I’m alive, I’ll try to help in cinema in any which way.”

Raju went on to congratulate Karthikeya 2 team for breathing life to the whole industry by pulling the audience to theaters in big numbers. He said he know Nikhil right from Happy Days and he also shares good relationship with director Chandoo, and the producers, Abhishek and People Media factory. He congratulated Bimbisara and Sita Ramam teams as well.

The senior producer concluded, saying those who write these senseless rumors should try to find out what’s happening instead of writing cooked up stuff just for the sake of gaining subscribers and viewership.
