Recently there has been a fight going on in the industry as filmmakers from Telangana put forth a demand for division in the AP film chamber of commerce. A section of Telangana filmmakers demanded that they want to have their own Telangana Film Chamber since the state is now divided. However, the AP film chamber of commerce is keen on renaming the organisation as the Telugu chamber of commerce in order to resolve the issue that rose out of this bifurcation. In this process, some of the Telangana film makers have accused top producer Dil Raju for not supporting them, though Raju is from Telangana.
In this regard, Dil Raju made some daring statements saying that everyone here seems to have their own agenda and that the demand for a separate Telangana Film Chamber is meaningless. According to him, there is nothing wrong with changing the name of AP film chamber of commerce to Telugu since everybody is interested in developing Telugu cinema. “I introduced top directors like Harish Shankar and Vamsi Padipalli who hail from Telangana,” added Dil Raju.
