Tollywood box office is set to witness an interesting clash during this Dasara festival holiday season. First up, two dubbed films, Ponniyin Selvan and Dhanush’s Nene Vastunna are releasing on the 30th and 29th of September respectively.
Then there’s the mainstream Telugu box office clash between Chiranjeevi’s Acharya and Nagarjuna’s The Ghost.
Going back to the dubbed films clash, Allu Aravind is distributing Dhanush’s film in Telugu while Dil Raju has bagged Ponniyin Selvan. These two top producers will be clashing at the box office as they set out to give their dubbed films a wide release in the Telugu states.
The Telangana government has announced Dasara holidays from 25th of September to the 9th of October.
Now, there’s a talk that the makers of Godfather and Ghost could’ve avoided a direct clash and instead picked alternative weekend. But as things stand, the dubbed films will be clashing on one weekend and the Telugu biggies will be clashing on the other.
