The Fault in Our Stars is similar to our Telugu classic Geethanjali plot-wise. It is about two cancer patients who fall in love with each and promise to lead a life fully before they die. It was made in English with the same name, and now we have a Bollywood version titled Dil Bechara.
The trailer hits all the right notes for a heart touching romantic drama. The casting looks spot on which is expected from Mukesh Chhabra (the director on debut) as he has been a successful casting director for a long time.
What adds more heart and feel to the narrative from the trailer alone is the casting of Sushant Singh Rajput. His tragic death and the dialogues that he mouths in the movie are sure to tug the hearts of movie lovers, let alone fans. It is sure to make them cry. One can’t believe looking at the video that he is no more.
The overall flow of the trailer and the visuals suggests Dil Bechara is a perfect big-screen outing for the multiplex audience. The music by AR Rahman adds to the impact. Unfortunately, due to lockdown, we have to watch it digitally.

It will stream online from July 24th on Disney Plus Hotstar as part of Disney Plus Hotstar Multiplex. Dil Bechara would be available to both the subscribers as well as non-subscribers for free as a tribute to late Sushant Sight Rajput.
