After a series of wins in the ongoing ICC World T20 2016, India finally lost a match to West Indies last Thursday. This obviously led to some criticism and some raised fingers for the team members. Following the loss, Captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni was being interviewed by an Australian journalist when he took a stand.
During the post-match press conference, the reporter asked him if he would quit international cricket post the loss at Wankhede stadium, Mumbai. Dhoni’s response was a series of questions of his own. After he invited the journalist to the stage, the cricketer courteously asked certain questions – whether the journalist wanted him to retire, if he likes his gameplay or not, his fitness, etc.
The Australian reporter stated that he did love Dhoni’s style and that he should play till ICC Cricket World Cup 2019. Dhoni’s last question, whether the journalist thought he should retire or not, answered the journalist’s initial question.
