Southern actor Dhanush, who is making his Hindi debut with Raanjhanaa, says he is keen to go behind the camera soon. In fact, he was all set to direct a film, but he had to postpone the idea to make way to his Hindi project, which is scheduled to release June 21. He says the idea to direct comes from his own family – his father and brother have had great influence on him.

Since he has already signed two more projects, Dhanush says he is most likely to wield the megaphone by the end of next year. He is currently busy shooting for Tamil film Naiyaandi, and he is soon to start working with Tamil director K.V Anand soon.

He will join hands with Anand L. Rai, director of Raanjhanaa soon for another Hindi project in 2014. He is likely to think of directing after he completes his second Hindi project.
