The state government on Saturday night released the draft Master Plan of Amaravati. The Capital Region of Andhra Pradesh will be spread over an area of 8603 Square Kilometers. The Core Capital area will be of 217 Square Kilometers.
The interior roads will be of 75 meters wide while the Outer Ring Road will be of 150 meters wide. Care will be taken to make sure the roads will straight with out any turns. Amaravati will have nine theme cities – Government, Economic, Tourism, Science, Health, Electronics, Media, Law and Sports.
Land pooling of Amaravati is considered as one of the biggest achievements in modern democracy as more than 30000 acres are collected with out much resistance. The government will very soon decide up on the plots to be allotted to farmers who gave their lands to the capital.
