December is the dullest months of the year for film releases opine many trade pundits. True to their opinion, the Telugu films released till date this December have proved to be box-office duds. Only ‘Lingaa’ is one big movie hitting theatres on 12th December. Otherwise one can say there isn’t anything to enthuse the film goers.
A day after ‘Lingaa’s release, three small films are also going to test their luck on 13th Dec. Nevertheless there isn’t much hype on those small movies as they aren’t promoted well. If at all they turn out to be good in content, positive mouth talk might save those small flicks. In this present scenario, December 19th is left almost void because of indefinite postponement of ‘Pataas’.
Now audiences and cine observers are looking towards Nithin’s ‘Chinnadaana Nee Kosam’. Coming Sankranthi season is going to see big releases like ‘Gopala Gopala’, ‘Temper’ and ‘I’. To release CNK to compete with the biggies might be out of question for Nithin. If not now, Nithin’s film has to wait till February when his film would be pitted against Trivikram-Bunny film. Would the makers of CNK make use of the slot on 19 December?
