There were critically acclaimed films like ‘Andhadhun’, ‘Badla’, ‘Article 15’ in the race, but finally, ‘Gully Boy’ was the chosen movie officially for the Oscar entry from India. It was the story of a street rapper who struggles hard and makes it big in the world of rap music.
Vijay Deverakonda’s Dear Comrade’ was on the list of movies that were considered for Indian official entry. The movie couldn’t impress the audiences and critics. However, that didn’t stop the movie to be in the race.
