The makers of Nani’s Dasara have dropped a new song from the album and it is titled “Chamkeela Angeelesi”. As the title suggests, it is a proper Telangana folk number.
Dasara is set in the Singareni Coal Mines backdrop and that is very much evident in this song. The Telangana dialect lyrics, the folk tune, and the atmospherics in the lyrical video have a raw and rustic vibe.
The vocals are very much in tune with the theme of the song and especially, the female vocal renditions catch the attention right away. Santosh Narayanan’s who is a non-Telugu technician has done a fine job in capturing the Telangana essence with his soundings.
In the lyrical video, we see the lead pair Nani and Keerthy Suresh in deglam look and this song depicts their relationship. It appears to be a song that will also have a good visual optic.
Dasara is up for release on the 30th of March and the full fledged promotional campaign is underway for the rustic action thriller now. The film is directed by newcomer Srikanth Odela and produced by Sudhakar Cherukuri.
