Aha Video is the only-Telugu OTT platform that is testing its luck with reality shows. After the success of the singing reality show Indian Idol, Aha Video returned with a dance-based reality show. Titled Dance Ikon, Ohmkar is the host of the show. He is also producing the reality show under his OAK Entertainments banner.
The first episode of the Dance Ikon went live on Sunday with 12 contestants. Ohmkar who is the King of reality shows in Telugu came up with another unique concept.
Dance Ikon concept
A total of 15 choreographers will fight for the title.
The winner of the show will get an opportunity to choreograph a song, featuring a star hero for a big production house in Telugu.
All choreographers participated in the show with their contestants.
Sekhar Master is the judge of the dance show.
Monal Gajjar, choreographer Yash, and Sreemukhi are the co-owners.
Ohmkar invited six production houses to the reality show and introduced them as the owners. The producers will bid in the auction to select two contestants among the 15. Each producer is given a budget of 20 lakh rupees.
Allu Aravind (Geetha Arts), Suryadevara Naga Vamsi (Sithara Entertainments, Bapineedu (SVCC), Hanshitha Reddy (SVC), Ravi Shankar (Mythri Movie Makers), and Vivek Kuchibhotla (People Media Factory) are the owners.
After successfully bidding the contestants, they transferred the responsibility to the co-owners. The owners will return to the show again during the grand finale.
Talent Spotlight
Dance Ikon comes up with a unique concept where the talent gets the spotlight in the presence of filmmakers. Ohmkar, who is known for spotting real and raw talents, found 15 choreographers, out of which 12 will be staying in the competition.
Not just the choreographers but many dancers also got a chance to showcase their talent to the world. This is a wonderful opportunity for all those who want to prove their mettle in the field of dance.
Ohmkar and Aha Video partnered for this pakka commercial dance reality show that easily draws the attention of audiences as well as the film industry. It is a win-win situation for all parties involved.
