There is absolutely no clarity about when the cinemas will be allowed to re-open by the Governments. Telangana Cinematography Minister, Talasani Srinivas Yadav, the other day announced that their Government is not keen on re-opening the theaters in the next 2-3 months.
Meanwhile, the trade is worried if the audience will dare to come to the theaters even if they are opened. The effect of OTT is also scaring them. At this juncture, the industry is mulling on new ideas to make the theatrical experience more enjoyable. Suresh Babu revealed them in an interview.
“If fans come to the theaters, it should have a dance floor for them to enjoy. There should be occasional facilities for them to interact with their favorite actors from the theaters. Families and kids should have separate facilities. Beer is allowed in the Cinemas of West. We can earmark some theaters for that,” Suresh Babu said.
“Life is not going to be the same after the COVID Outbreak. We should ensure that watching a film in the theater should be a different experience altogether. The Government will also get revenues. Having said that all, the Government should allow all these to happen,” Suresh Babu said.
