Damarukkam villain turns rowdy

The handsome hunk Ganesh Venkatramam, who played the baddie in Nagarjuna’s Damarukkam, is making his Bollywood debut with the Hindi remake of Telugu film Kurradu. He will play a role that will be rowdier than the one he played in his Telugu film.

Originally made in Tamil as Polladhavan, its Hindi remake is titled ‘Guns of Benares’ will feature Ganesh in the role of the villain’s brother as a cocaine-addicted character. He said that he had to learn UP Hindi for the film because it is set against the backdrop of Benaras. He is equally thrilled to play the role because he didn’t pick it up because it’s Bollywood but for the fact he has a strong part to play in it.

Ganesh said that he was picked for the role by the director after he was impressed with his performance in Damarukkam. Therefore, he credits this role to his Telugu film and hopes to perform better in his new outing.
