Nagarjuna’s Damarukam had achieved a rare record in Tollywood and too a record for which no hero or film maker will be ever proud of. The movie was postponed after letting out the release date thrice. Online ticketing websites and theaters have issued tickets thrice for the movie and had to refund the money thrice following the movie postponements on all the three occasion.
The reason for these woes is the bad financial condition of the producers, RR Movie Makers. The financiers who suspect the production to go bankrupt are urging them to clear their accounts before the movie release. On Saturday morning, Hero of the movie, Nagarjuna was in Kakinada to inaugurate a showroom. And when asked about the film’s release, he promised that everything would be settled in a week. “As of now, Lord Shiva has not set the muhurtham for us, ” he said in philosophical mode.
On the other hand, the makers are continuously telling the media that he’d be releasing the movie on November 10th. Even ‘Releasing Today’ ads were appeared in major Telugu news dailies on Saturday morning although Lab clearance was not done. Lab clearance is mandatory for any film to hit the screens.
