COVID Second Wave- First Telugu Film Thank You Brother Locks OTT ReleaseTollywood industry heaved sigh of relief after Uppena storm took over box-office. The film success gave the industry confidence that more footfalls will come in theaters in subsequent days. As things returned to normalcy, the second wave across the country took a toll on showbiz too.

Many films queued up for summer release. Biggies like Love Story, Virata Parvam, Tuck Jagadish and Acharya have however postponed keeping safety in mind. With theaters in shut down mode, OTT seems to be the choice now. Anasuya Bharadwaj’s Thank You Brother is the first Telugu film to go for OTT release amid second wave.

Anasuya tweeted, “Amidst all that is going on.. We feel fortunate to be able to entertain you .. in the safest way possible.. Enjoy #ThankYouBrother on @ahavideoIN from the #May7th2021 #ThankYouBrotherFromMay7thOnAHA”.

Helmed by Ramesh Raparthi, the trailer impressed everyone for its unique concept. The trailer showed Anasuya as a pregnant lady, who gets trapped in a lift. Anasuya shown in mask packs the punch with netizens for its realistic taking. She shares the lift with a spoiled brat and what happens when she is in labour. This left the audience intrigued for out-of-the-box plot.

The trailer earned good reception from the audience, and with OTT having an urban audience, the film has good chances to get good views. Anasuya has become a busy bee. She recently came on board for Sukumar’s Pushpa. Apart from this, she has a string of films in her kitty, including Tamil and Malayalam as well.
