Court dismisses petition on aamir khan satya meva jayatestate emblemThere are strict rules regarding the use of our State emblems and logos and the defaulters can be prosecuted under State Emblem of India Prohibition of Improper Use Act 2005. A social activist by name Harman Sidhu who belongs to an NGO Arrive Safe has filed a petition on actor Aamir Khan for using the State Emblem ‘Satyameva Jayate’ without required permissions.

Satyameva Jayate was a popular programme hosted by Aamir Khan and produced by his wife Kiran Rao and himself. It showcases various issues in the society which need to be addressed throwing light on the present scenario and what can be done to adresss the issue for the greater good of the people.

The Punjab and Haryana Court dismissed the petition against the star hero but said the petitioner can file a criminal case for using the State Emblem without permissions. The petitioner is going to approach the apex court of the country to fight against the High Court’s verdict.
