Drushyam

Drishyam with its success in multiple languages is inviting troubles for new remake. The Malayalam original has already been remade in Kannada and Telugu and in both languages the film has proved to be commercial success. Recently a third remake of the film was launched in Tamil starring Kamal Haasan and its going to be made by the original Malayalam director himself.

However ever since the launch of the Tamil version the director has been hounded by controversy and copy allegations. First it was Bollywood producer Ekta Kapoor and now its the turn of a writer Saheesh Paul. The writer has filed a petition in court and taking it into consideration, the court has asked director Jeetu Joseph to not remake the film in Tamil until all allegations on it are settled. The director has maintained that he has not copied anything and has stuck to that view adding that such similarities occur from time to time among different works but they are not intentional.

The Tamil remake was expected to start its shoot from August. With this new problem we have to see how the makers go ahead with it.
